11 Reasons Why you should make Wise & Meaningful Decisions in Life

Everything is Connected.

Every single day we make decisions. Every single thing we do, is based on a decision. This is why we need to make sure that we make decisions that are wise and meaningful.

We’re all human and we react in different ways. Reaction is so important because what you decide to do in that moment, can change the course of your life dramatically.

In this post, I will be talking about 11 reasons why you should make wise and meaningful decisions and how it can impact us in life.

Better Lifestyle

The way we live is so important. The places we live, the food & drink we consume, how we look after our bodies etc. If you have the choice to choose where to live, always think it through and note down the pros and cons. I’m a firm believer of not overthinking but, in this case, in depth thinking is needed in that kind of situation. That choice is either a long term or permanent one, so make sure it is the right one.

The same goes for food and drink. Unfortunately, it seems that the fast food and drinks tend to be the cheapest and most easily accessible. We can get caught up in a cycle of eating in a way that isn’t healthy. We need to look after our bodies, as that is all we really have.

We own our body, so take care of it and love it enough to consume in a better way. Make better decisions now to ensure that your body is healthy in your later years. You’ll thank yourself then, trust me.

Healthy Relationships/Friendships

Whether this be friendships or relationships, we need to make sure the people around us are bringing the correct energy. Throughout the course of our lives we will meet new people, drift away from old friends, lose friends completely and the same for relationships.

Don’t feel guilty if the spark is no longer there. It is natural to move on. Make wise decisions on who you let in, as these people will play an important part in your life.

Impact on Others

Think about what you say to others. Some of us are quick thinkers, some of us react quickly, some take a while to decide, some don’t like to decide at all. No matter what kind of person you are, always think before you speak. The impact you can have on someone can affect them their whole life.

One thing I have lived by; If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all.

Unless it is constructive criticism and it is said so that the person understands what it is you’re trying to say. But you know when there’s people out there that say things for a reaction, or to make a point but say it in a way that’s not constructive. What’s the point?

Make better decisions when thinking before you speak. Are you saying it in the right way? Do you really need to say anything at all? Is it necessary?

Your happiness is dependent on what you do in life. It’s everything put together, so whether it be work, friends, family, social life, all of these things contribute to your happiness. Make sure your happiness is a priority in your life as we all deserve to be truly happy. Make better decisions to ensure you are happy or on your journey to happiness.

Alignment or Coincidences?

Has something happened in your life that seems like a crazy coincidence or, was the universe aligned perfectly at that point?

I don’t believe in coincidences anymore. When I was younger and less understanding of how the world works, I did believe in coincidences. What ever that thing was that happened, understand that prior decisions made led to that happening. Decisions made by others align with our decisions which then made that thing happen. Imagine if you did something different that day, for example: left for work at a different time, wore a different colour outfit, went to a different restaurant and so on. You catch my drift?

Stop overthinking and just do it. Some of the best experiences in life happen because of spontaneous decisions being made. Responsible, meaningful spontaneity can enhance your life massively. Want to travel to that country? Book that flight. Want to join the gym and work on yourself? Sign up. Fancy going to that nice restaurant? Go eat.

Enjoy life for what it is.

Change is apart of life. There is change in absolutely everything. From when we grow up, we change schools, friends, jobs, personality, interests, the list goes on. It’s a natural thing that we do without realising it. Making better decisions will change you for the better, whereas making decisions that aren’t so good, can have a negative impact on you and others which could change you for the worst.

Your Purpose

Check out my last post, 4 Ways to Help Find your Purpose. Make decisions to help find your purpose. If you already know your purpose, make meaningful decisions to fulfill it.

The Past

Think about decisions you made in the past that have led you to where you are today. I know for sure that I have made some bad decisions. Although, when you look at your past decisions, hopefully you can learn from them. As we get older, we grow, mature and also gain a better understanding of life which means that we can learn from our past to ensure that our present day decisions are better.

The Future

Everything that is to come is dependent on what you choose to do in the present moment. To ensure that you are going to have a meaningful future make wise decisions today so that the future is what you want it to be.

Last but not least: Everything is Connected

Every decision made will change the course of events in your life. Make better decisions, put that work in & the universe will reward you. Check out my post on The Law of Atrraction & why it should be a focus in your life. The present day is the only time we can make a true difference, it will show growth from our past and will secure our future.

Remember, when things get complicated, just take minute and think: Keep it Simple, Yeah?
