Master the Art of Balance

Posted on 1

1. a situation in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.

I like that definition of Balance.

Balance is key to living a simple & healthy life.

If we do not have balance, normally we have some form of stress or feeling of uneasiness. As there is something in our lives which is outweighing another aspect of our lives which brings us happiness.

One of the biggest types of balance is work/life balance. This is the most common type due to us all working to earn a living as well as trying to relax, spend time with family and so on.

It can be difficult to balance your work & life as you may have to work long, unsociable hours or you work weekends, or even worse, work in an industry you don’t like or have no interest in. Even if you are self employed, it’s great that you’ve got your own business however you may need to work more to ensure you making a living from this.

One thing I live by is this. Leave work, at work. I have heard so many people talk about bringing work back home by choice then complain about doing so. Leave it at work! Simple. If you work in an industry where you do not need to take work home, LEAVE. IT. AT. WORK.

If you run your own business, set your own rules. Run your business to suit you, don’t let your clients run you. It is your business.

Make sure you have time to rest, be with your family, go out, watch a film! I can’t explain how important this is. Don’t run yourself to the brink of death just trying to run your business or by working too hard. If you find yourself overwhelmingly busy, sit down, work out what needs to change to ensure that things are running smoothly.

Sometimes we get so caught up in trying do so much at once that we cannot get that balance. We feel that we must be super productive at every single minute of the day. Some of us have no choice but to have to work 2/3 jobs at once due to personal circumstances which I understand.

Relating back to my post about Single-Tasking, don’t do too much at one time. Stay focused.

If you are someone who can potentially bring balance into your life, I would highly suggest you do so. This will bring happiness & some form of simplicity into your life and most importantly, will help to ensure you are healthy & alive.

As you can see, I like pictures of stones/rocks balancing.

Remember, when things start to get complicated, just think; Keep it Simple, Yeah?

Love B.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.

I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start.
Do you have any tips or suggestions? With thanks
